Real Estate Summary Coffs Harbour

Coffs Harbour City
The Centre of Coffs Harbour is City Square on Harbour Drive, previously called High St. The City Square features outdoor eating areas and the newly renovated Palms shopping centre.

Real estate in this area is generally units and older houses with the advantage of being within easy walking distance to the central shops. Good value for investors and buyers looking to renovate.

Harbour Drive starts at the Pacific Highway and ends at the Coffs Harbour Jetty.

Coffs Harbour Jetty
The Coffs Harbour Jetty area offers some of the best real estate in Coffs Harbour. Higher ground provides excellent northerly views out to the ocean and a range of eateries along the Jetty strip provide everything from a casual Sunday brunch to fine dining in the evening.

The Jetty beach is patrolled in summer and protected by breakwalls to provide safe swimming. Extensive parks with sheltered playground & BBQ facilities are adjacent to the beach. The nearby Marina is home to the large Coffs Harbour Fishing Co-Operative and a tourism fleet providing fishing, whale watching and sailing.

The Jetty area provides some of the best living for those who want everything Coffs Harbour can offer.

Park Beach
The next beach north of Jetty Beach is Park Beach. Park Beach, the suburb, stretches from the surf beach to Park Beach Plaza on the Pacific Highway. Park Beach Plaza is the largest shopping centre between Newcastle and the Gold Coast.

Real estate is primarily holiday and short term accommodation, offering good value buying and making the area an ideal place for investment.

Northern Beaches
North of Park Beach are Diggers Beach, Korora, Sapphire, Moonee, Emerald, Sandy Beach, Woolgoolga, Safety Beach, Mullaway and Arrawarra.

Each of the northern beach suburbs has their own personality but all share a proximity to the beach and provide a relaxed lifestyle away from the city.

The most desired beach suburbs are Diggers, Korora and Sapphire which are the closest to the city and have newer housing. The strong demand for properties in these suburbs has created record prices for the Coffs Harbour area.

Sawtell, Toormina, Boambee
South of the Coffs Harbour CBD are the New Regional Hospital, Regional Airport, Southern Cross University, Coffs Harbour Golf Course, Coffs Harbour Race Course and International Stadium. Beyond these areas are the suburbs of Sawtell, Toormina & Boambee.

Sawtell is a seaside village with the surf beach a short stroll from tree lined First Avenue. Due to the small size and attractiveness of Sawtell, real estate is in high demand and Sawtell had the second fastest median price increase of all suburbs in Australia for 2001.

Toormina is Sawtell’s larger neighbour incorporating the Toormina Gardens shopping centre. Housing is generally newer with some new land developments.

Boambee is the newest of the suburbs to the south of Coffs Harbour and lies on either side of the Pacific Highway. Land developments and new buildings are very common in Boambee.

Rural areas
Rural towns in the Coffs Coast region include Bonville, Upper Orara, Coramba, Lower Bucca and Nana Glen.

Each town has its own claims to fame. Bonville has the Bonville International Golf club and Nana Glen has Hollywood actor Russell Crowe as a resident.

Rural property prices can vary greatly based on land use and other factors such as access to town services, water supply, views, etc.
